Project Overview
Planned and directed annual golf outing for 140 golfers; the largest tournament in the organization’s history. Being in its 35th year, proceeds of the event aid Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore’s efforts in providing financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to youth in grades K-12.
- Supervised a 26-person event team consisting of organization staff, event committee members, and volunteers.
- Created and implemented event marketing strategy including social and email marketing, press releases, user-generated content, etc.
- Designed all marketing collateral including:
- Event flyer and registration materials
- Event page on company website
- Online registration and landing page
- Event signage, tickets, and vouchers
- Tournament t-shirt
- Chaired all event committee and volunteer recruitment efforts
- Prepared, monitored, and enforced 20K+ event budget

- Achieve fundraising goal of $22,000 (gross income).
- Increase tournament package pre-sales.
- Ensure seamless day-of event operations and logistics.

Strategy + Tactics
- Aquire board members from each county board as event committee members to diversify tournament attendance and increase participation across organization’s seven county service area.
- Design event social media toolkits for board and committee members to promote the tournament to their networks of affluent leaders in the community.
- Formalize event planning process by creating a Standard Operating Procedures document to increase workflows, ensure deadlines are met, and communication is seamless.
- Audit all expenses to ensure budget was maintained and to secure highest amount of revenue for the organization.
- Design and produce the organization’s first tournament souvenir t-shirt to increase brand awareness.
